Dealer in Maryland

Carrier and Bryant is my favorite product to sell but in the last 3-years it has been the worst customer service Ive ever have experienced. Sales person doesnt get back to you, I have to stay on top of my parts and make sure they have been ordered. I can never get an eta after contacting my rep several times including today. This is making my company look bad. Because of this I no longer push carrier or Bryant equipment unless I have to. Other manufacturers are on top of part and prices and I dont have to keep calling

The unit failed causing a fire in unit destroying wiring harness. I believe failure was from heating element. When heating and air conditioning contractor contacted local carrier distributors for parts there were no parts available in US or Canada. This is not an old unit and is still under warranty. I was told I can be put on the backlog list. My earliest estimated order fulfillment date is May, 2024. It is Jan. 2024, how could this be?

Working with customer service. There is no customer service.

Give them model and serial number and they can not identify part number for wiring harness. I followed up with photo of wiring harness, my house has two similar units. Waiting for there response.

They have been sued so many times... where's my lawyer!

6 week old Carrier N95ESM gas furnace. Lights 25% of the time. Dealer sho installed it may have forgot a part, attempted to call Carrier to confirm with tech support, that department does not exist for the peasant (buying) consumer, only the dealers. I will never purchase another Carrier product in my life.

Your furnace is installed incorrectly. The vent line is on the bottom.

This line will accumulate co densensation that is supposed to drain into and through the furnace to the small 1/2" drain on the side. In your picture the line comes from above the furnace creating a trap.

This will fill with water and will not allow the unit to vent. The unit should give you a code on the flashing light on the control board to indicate the failure.

Thermostat

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The Infinity thermostat is one of the dumbest thermostats designed. The other day my Infinity thermostat was showing heat plump heating. I don't have a heat pump, I have a gas furnace only. The thermostat in summer many times decides to start cooling to a lower temperature for no reason. Bringing the temp up manually is only temporary, it will start cooling again. Only solution is running it manually.

I PURCHASED A CARRIER PACKAGE UNIT SERIAL # 2817C30540 MODEL 50VTC60-30TP BECAUSE I WAS TOLD CARRIER WAS HIGHER QUALITY THAN GOODMAN ETC.

MY AC STOPPED WORKING MONDAY MY TECH SAID THE EVAP COIL AND TXV NEED REPLACED.

I REGISTERED THE UNIT WHEN IT WAS PURCHASED. NOW YOUR CUST SERVICE DEPT SAYS IT WASNT REGISTERED SO THEY WONT COVER MY PARTS UNDER WARRANTY.

AS YOU CAN SEE THIS UNIT ISNT THAT OLD. I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND WHY CARRIER WONT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT THAT SHOULD BE COVERED FOR 10 YEARS, IT SHOULDNT MATTER THAT YOU CANT FIND THE REGISTRATION, YOU KNOW WHO SOLD THE UNIT.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOUR COMPANY WILL COVER THESE 2 PARTS.

LG compressor failed which happens all the time. Company won't stand behind their warranty which should include refrigerant based off that faulty part. Everyone should contact the BBB and report the problem.

Poor product

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
new home purchased in May 2021 In April 2022 ac went down. Freon has escaped from the compressor. Supposedly, it was repaired while under warranty. In July of 2022 the same thing happened. ac went down, all Freon escaped. I believe it was not repaired correctly, the compressor should have been replaced. It is now not in warranty and I have to pay 500 dollars to get it repaired. Poor equipment as carrier has out sourced inferior parts to save money

ac under warranty was supposedly repaired in May 2022 In July 2022 the same problem with it. Total loss of Freon and compressor needs to be replaced. This occurred after 14 months of service. I believe it is the responsibility of carrier to pay for the labor necessary to repair. the first repair was done under warranty

AC breaks down a lot!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We've owned our Carrier AC units for a couple of years and it continues to go out repeatedly. It will be out for at least a week each time and in Austin, Texas in the middle of summer that means the house gets really hot.

It's always some type of mother board problem or some special thermistor part or some other part they didn't think it would be until they came out to fix it and weren't able.

I just think that it has too many proprietary, high-tech parts to it to make it run and so it easily breaks and is not easily repaired. We would definitely have gone with another brand if we knew it was going to be this much of a continual mess.

User's recommendation: Don't go with Carrier, the AC units have too many points of failure to be reliable.

Poor service

I purchased a new home in May 2021. In May 2022 the ac began to have problems. I was told it was repaired. All the freon escaped. It was under warranty. parts and labor. In July 2022 same problem. The labor was not under warranty. Now I am told that I have to pay 500 for labor. I believe because of previous problem, I should not be required to pay that. It appears that inorder to save, Carrier outsourced the compressor.

Bad experience with carrier

My carrier infinity that was installed in 2018 has had numerous issues. All under warranty but the labor costs are now over $1000 and once again I am without A/C in 100 degree heat. The inverter is now bad. The. Infinity touch screen thermostat was also just replaced because 1/2 of the screen was dead. Very unhappy with this product after spending 13k to install.

I completed a carrier form of a problem with a fairly new system. Dealer, has not responded to the problem. We are asking Carrier to get involved with dealer and find out what the problem is.

Please refer to Carriers form I completed showing the information on the system which includes SN and Model number and owners name and address. I have not heard back f rom Carrier as of today.

Price rip off..

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We are both retired on fixed incomes from SS and have a Carrier furnace that is 11 years old that quit working. Repair man said it is the diffuser motor that is bad. Carrier won't sell just the motor and wants over $1,800.00 for a new diffuser assembly. Other furnace manufacturers only charge about $600.00 for their diffuser assemblies. This price is completely outrageous! I will never buy Carrier products again.
